I have been cooking for many years, but after becoming disabled in 1999 I started to take it more of a art form than a necessity. I like to transform classics into New York accented classics. Adding my twist upon these dishes that I feel has just a slight taste adjustment, but enough to know your stepping up on the dish at hand.
Italian background cooking is my base style of recipes and my favorite to eat. So, you'll find some great dishes like chicken parmigiana, or sausage, peppers and onions. Some of the standard rules will apply when it comes to preparation, but the flavors will be added in layers and with nicely blended combinations.
Being from Brooklyn, New York, I have had the chance to taste delicious home cooking from many ethic groups. Some of the meals were created with a budget in mind, while others were created with none. Brooklyn, is known for their block parties, feast, barbecues, hero sandwiches, home cooking, and of course Coney Island franks.
